Blue Bottle Coffee, a US-based leader in specialty coffee, has launched a series of exclusive coffee seminars and pour-over workshops as part of the next phase of its journey into the Singapore market.

In addition, the brand will release limited-edition merchandise in time for the year-end festive season. This merchandise will be available exclusively at its retail concept store at Lumine Singapore’s global flagship store, located at Raffles City Shopping Centre.

The seminars and pour-over workshops, led by some of Blue Bottle Coffee’s esteemed professionals, will guide participants through the fundamentals of pour-over brewing while offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship that goes into each cup.

Following the enthusiastic reception of their coffee workshops for media and specialty coffee community members, Blue Bottle Coffee’s current aim is to introduce the larger Singapore community to the world of specialty coffee and its brand story.

For instance, participants could take part in a 75-minute Pour Over workshop, whereby they could try their hand at Blue Bottle Coffee’s signature hand-drip process by learning how to brew two distinct coffee profiles, including Blue Bottle’s signature blend and their seasonal holiday single origin, before tasting their creations.

The workshops would be led by esteemed members such as Michael Phillips, Global Director of Coffee Culture and champion of the 2010 World Barista Competition; Benjamin Brewer, Senior Director of Global Coffee Experience; and Justin So, Café Trainer at Blue Bottle Coffee.

In addition, participants can also attend a 30-minute introductory Coffee Seminar, which will introduce them to the world of pour-over brewing under the guidance of Blue Bottle Coffee Professionals.

Designed to introduce coffee lovers to the unique flavour profiles that distinguish Blue Bottle Coffee, the coffee seminar allows participants to learn from the brand’s over twenty-year-long history. This will be followed by hand-drip brewing demonstrations by Blue Bottle Coffee professionals and a tasting session of freshly brewed coffee.

Delightful merchandise offerings

The festive season is incomplete without the delightful merchandise offerings from Blue Bottle Coffee’s retail arm, which would be perfect for coffee enthusiasts for the season of giving.

For instance, Bella Donovan, a classic blue bottle of whole-bean coffee with a bold, fruity, and rich flavour, shines when brewed as a French press or coffee machine pour-over.

In addition, for espresso lovers, the Hayes Valley Espresso is Blue Bottle’s most versatile espresso and is served globally in their cafes. Each luxurious shot delivers orange and chocolate-laden bass notes with a mouthfeel and voluptuous tawny crema.

Blue Bottle Coffee’s Winter Blend is one of the key standout seasonal offerings, which blends warmth and comfort with notes of cooked jam, fruit-forward with a viscous body, and balanced with notes of molasses and dark chocolate.

Blue Bottle Coffee’s coffee seminars and Pour Over workshops will take place from 11 to 19 November 2024. Class fees are $42 for the seminars and $100 for the workshops.

In addition, participants of the coffee seminar will be entitled to a $40 voucher that can be redeemed at Blue Bottle Coffee’s retail concept store at Lumine Singapore on the day of the seminar.

Conversely, participants of the Pour Over workshops will be entitled to a complimentary pour-over kit (worth $66) and a 200g bag of coffee beans (worth $30–$33) selected by Blue Bottle Coffee’s coffee professionals.
