The Coach Restaurant
American fashion house Coach is upping its stakes as a lifestyle brand with the opening of The Coach Restaurant in Jewel Changi Airport in October. The 56-seat New York-style steakhouse restaurant, which overlooks the Jewel Rain Vortex, features dishes cooked in an open wood-fired oven, paying homage to the brand’s hometown.
Accompanying the food are cocktails and an all-American wine list. The opening follows the Asia debut of Coach Restaurant in Jakarta in March 2024, where USDA Prime and Australian tenderloin, New York Strip, and ribeye steaks are served alongside Seafood Tower and Maine lobsters.
In July, Coach opened The Coach Coffee Shop in Resorts World Sentosa, offering American-style sandwiches, drinks and soft-serve, including chilli crab, a Singapore-exclusive flavour.
There’s also the Coach Play Singapore shophouse in Keong Saik Road, which houses a Coach Bar.
Prada Caffe
The devil can wear and eat Prada at the Italian fashion label’s first cafe in Southeast Asia, which opened in Ion Orchard last December. The space sports green interiors and black-and-white chequered floor — an ode to Prada’s first boutique in Milan.
The all-day restaurant serves light bites such as toasts, bread rolls filled with lobster, or cured salmon rolls. Savoury dishes include burrata with beetroot carpaccio and beef tartare with Parmigiano shavings and capers.
Sweets include the Summer Panettone, another famous Milan product, which is studded with semi-candied apricots and served with mascarpone cream. Make space for pastries, like tiramisu and raspberry sacher, which are from the renowned Marchesi 1824.
Klarra cafe
Homegrown womenswear brand Klarra has reopened its boutique at Raffles City with a cafe space next to its fashion zone and lifestyle area, which hosts pop-ups and community events.
Need a break from browsing its latest collection in the 200 sqm store? Head to its cafe, which serves drinks, such as iced latte and matcha latte with house-made honey cream and buttery biscuit crumbs.
Desserts include cocoa crumble cream cup, layered with dark cocoa and feuilletine, and strawberry fields crumble cream cup.
Blue Bottle Coffee cafes
American speciality coffee roaster Blue Bottle Coffee is stepping up its presence in Singapore, thanks to its partnership with Malaysian fashion and retail company, Valiram. Blue Bottle Coffee opened its second cafe in Paragon in July, serving its well-known range of espresso-based drinks, cold brews, coffee blends, and pour-over selection.
Feeling peckish? Nibble on the Liège waffle and yoghurt bowl topped with granola and strawberries alongside sips of coffee. Exclusive to Singapore is the embroidered Blue Bottle tote by Japanese design company Ball & Chain.
Blue Bottle Coffee, which started its first Singapore cafe in the Lumine store in Raffles City in April, plans to open over 10 cafes here by 2027.
