A full day of dining events to savour on Easter Sunday

In preparation for the long weekend, we’ve curated a list of seven Easter exclusive events for you to fill your days with.

The long weekend is just around the corner, bringing with it a slew of exciting events, all themed around Easter. From brunch to dinner, with midday stops for lunch, high tea, and even a staycation for the end of the day, here are a few ideas to fill your weekend with good food and fun for all.

Brunch

Easter Sunday is meant to be a day of rest, and what better way to do so than to wake up late and enjoy a hearty brunch?

1. Easter Garden in the City at Café Quenino

From 12pm onwards, this restaurant serves its unlimited à la carte brunch (138 per pax). Guests will all start with a Premium Seafood Platter, with lobster, prawns, mussels, and scallops. For their main course, Guests can order any number of dishes which will each be prepared fresh to order, such as the restaurant’s signature Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang and Sakura Chicken Percik.

Besides the items on the menu, there will also be a selection from a central table of appetisers and desserts for guests to choose from, featuring dishes such as Pie Tee with Quail Egg, and like Calamansi Financiers. Younger members of the family will also find themselves well thought of—there are doughnut decorating activities, an ice cream truck, and a Kid’s Corner of food, with food like chicken sliders, fish and chips, and mashed potatoes. Furthermore, kids aged 4 to 12 dine half off, while toddlers and infants under three dine for free, making it a great event for families.

During the last 30 minutes of the Brunch, guests will also receive a treat box with bakes and sweats for them to bring home, a deliberate choice by the restaurant to reduce food waste. 

Easter Garden in the City happens on Sunday, 20th April, from 12pm to 3pm.

2. Italian Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet at Pete’s Place

As can be gleaned from its event name, Pete’s Place has a buffet of Italian cuisine prepared for the weekend ($108 per adult and $54 per child). Guests will begin their meal with Pete’s Antipasti Plate, a selection of their culinary journey with Pete’s Antipasti Plate, a curated selection of traditional Italian Appertisers, charcuterie, and Italian cheeses. The restaurant also has multiple live stations where guests can get meat, freshly carved before serving.

In honor of Easter the brunch will be serving up rabbit — literally, in its Coniglio in Umido, a traditional Italian Rabbit Stew. This dish is usually served in central and north Italy to mark the arrival of Spring, making it a great dish for Easter.

For those who are less adventurous, the buffer also features a Dolce Bar of desserts, serving Italian Easter bread, Colomba Pasquale, and handcrafted chocolate easter eggs. 

Younger guests will find themselves occupied with a range of activities, including face painting and Easter egg painting. There will even be a roving magician, ready to entertain kids. 

For the adults, there will be a selection of drinks for them to add-on, including Italian wines, Prosecco, and Easter cocktails. One such drink is the Martini al cioccolato, crafted with authentic Italian hazelnut and chocolate liqueurs.

3. Lunch: Ensō Steakhouse

For those who prefer a more formal, sit down meal, the Easter lunch at Ensō Steakhouse may be an alternative to elaborate brunch buffets. In honor of the holiday, the steakhouse will open on Easter Sunday with its à la carte menu. Guests will be able to choose from a range of Japanese cuisine, such as their signature Wagyu Beef Millefeuille, accompanied with king oyster mushrooms, and celeriac. If guests would prefer a western dish, they may be excited by the 1.3kg cut of dry-aged Tomahawk steak on the menu. 

The restaurant also serves Pressed Sushi, a style of sushi where rice and toppings are pressed into a mould, forming a layered block of sushi. Japanese sushi style where rice and toppings are layered and pressed into a mold. One such dish offered by Ensō is the Shima-Aji (striped Jack) and Seared Salmon Belly, with nori tempura and spicy mayo to finish off the sushi block.

Located on the 38th floor of Capitagreen, Ensō Steakhouse offers a pleasant dining experience with a great view of Singapore’s skyline.

4. High Tea: HighHouse

Tea time is always the time for people to linger, take a breather, and really appreciate the moment. HighHouse caters to this with their Eggs in the Clouds event. At this high tea experience ($98 for two pax), guests will be treated to five savoury small bites, including the Miyazaki Wagyu Carpaccio on toast, and a King Crab Roll; and Easter desserts such as Carrot Cake and Pistachio macarons. 

While savouring their food, guests will also get to listen to live music, while kids and adults alike can participate in an Easter Egg hunt, DIY egg crafting, and enjoy magic performances. 

Eggs in the Clouds takes place on Saturday, 19th April, from 2pm to 6pm.

5. Dinner: Boeuf

After a long day of holiday enjoyment, a hearty dinner is very necessary. For the Easter weekend, Boeuf has curated a Weekend Free-Flow feast ($49.90 per pax). Serving both lunch and dinner, Boeuf gives guests a buffet of beef to choose from, featuring Black Angus Ribeye, Beef Cheek Bourguignon, Spiced Roasted Drumsticks, and an exclusive April-only Black Angus Sirloin. Included in the package are popular sides like truffle fries, potato purée, Caesar salad, and toasted sourdough. 

Alternatively, guests may choose to pick up their Signature Beef Wellington Set ($99) for dinner. Made from Black Angus Tenderloin MB3, paired with Beef Bresaola, mushrooms, and crushed hazelnuts, his dish has to be pre-ordered at least three days in advanced. It’s sure to offer an abundant meal to close out the weekend.

6. Staycation: Capella Singapore

Easter Weekend is really a time to unwind, and Capella Singapore offers a discount on its hotel rates, enabling guests to stay in Sentosa Island for a few days. During this period, guests will receive a 15% off, and $150 in resort credits. They will also have access to Easter-themed activities, such as an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and Sunday and an egg painting workshop on Sunday. 

In addition to the hotel’s facilities, one of the restaurants within its walls, Fiamma, is also hosting a Easter Weekend Champagne Brunch ($208 per adult and $108 per child). This brunch will feature a new Sunday menu by Chef Antonio Corsaro. Some of the highlights are char-grilled lobster, artisanal cheeses, handmade pastas, pizzas, and wood-fired meats such as Wagyu tomahawk, all prepared to order. In addition to the Easter activities of the hotel, Fiamma will have balloon sculpting, face and egg painting, and an easter egg hunt with prizes for the top three, creating opportunities for parents and children to have fun and bond.

7. Social Event: Projector Cineleisure

Last but not least, this experience is for those who enjoy food, people, and music, all at once. For Easter Weekend, local cinema Projector Cineleisure will be holding a social event on its compound: A Kitchen Takeover by Straits Club, a hawker at Timbre+, which has been doing well online. 

On Saturday, the Straits Club will be serving their hawker dishes from 5:30 to 10:30 pm, while on Sunday, the hawker will prepare their signature Boneless Berempah Chicken Nasi Lemak, at $8 per box for guests to consume on the go.

A necessary feature, especially as the cinema will be hosting a flea market on both days, selling all kinds of products, like art, candles, and clothes. The market even has a pop-up booth by tattoo artist Manandhand. Guests can enjoy hawker food, visit a flea market, and even listen to live music from local DJs each day, marking it as a great community event for all.

A Kitchen Takeover by Straits Club will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 19th and 20th April, from 5:30pm to 10:30 pm and 1pm to 4pm respectively.

Live music will be featured from 8:30pm onwards on Saturday and between 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Sunday.
