In an unlikely pairing, Johnnie Walker’s legendary Blue Label scotch gallops into the world of couture with a limited-edition collaborative release by none other than Hong Kong-born fashion maven Robert Wun.

The result? A bold, relentless, stylish livery cradling an equally exceptional pour, with layered notes of rich spice, vanilla, honey, dark chocolate and a long, smoky finish.

French cognac house Hennessy renders a Chinese New Year collection draped in flowing red and metallic copper. The motif of a galloping stallion is apparently most readily seen on the gold-clad Hennessy Paradis, which headlines the release alongside Hennessy V.S.O.P, James Hennessy and Hennessy X.O.

These limited-edition bottles represent more than just a festive collection, as they hearken back to the brand’s legacy in China, dating as far back as 1859, when the Maison shipped a dozen crates of Old Pale Cognac to Chinese shores.

Building on its annual tradition of Zodiac-inspired exclusive cognacs, Martell presents L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval.

The expression is limited to just 500 numbered bottles, created in collaboration with French fine crystal specialist Baccarat, which has also designed a striking red horse-head stopper to crown each decanter.

The blend within is just as exceptional, thanks to Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud’s selection of very old eaux-de-vie from past Years of the Horse. Head down to Martell’s pop-up at ION Orchard from February 5 to 12 to appreciate the artistry of the release up close.

The brand’s exquisitely designed gift boxes embody the festive elegance of the season with accents of red, gold, and jade.

The Grange gift box delights especially with interwoven layers of artistry slowly revealed with a dedicated tool, along with a base that detaches and transforms into a Penfolds keyring.

French cognac house Louis XIII nods to the traditional Chinese art of papermaking with its limited-edition Lunar New Year coffret — the fourth in its annual collaborations with artist Liu Lihong, a renowned practitioner of the art.

This year’s gift package contrasts the vivacity of the horse against calming Hippeastrum flowers, which symbolise blessings of fortune, prosperity, and joy.

With just 388 bottles in existence, Glenmorangie’s Year of the Horse limited-edition single malt is said to be the distillery’s most limited Zodiac release ever.

Having previously honoured the Dragon, Rabbit, Tiger, and Snake years, the whisky house is well aware of the symbolism of the energetic stallion, which is why the bottle features a uniquely effervescent blend of Glenmorangie, wholly matured in bourbon casks, alongside a luscious single malt finished in Sauternes sweet white wine casks.

Expect scents of peony and jasmine, chased with dessert-like notes of sweet pastries, citrus, and ginger for the spirit fitting distilled in 2002 — another Year of the Horse.

Lunar New Year collection, The Glen Grant

While the striking equine-themed festive gift boxes on The Glen Grant’s limited-edition Lunar New Year collection are plenty enough to convey the spirit of the occasion, the Speyside distillery has also accompanied each of its three whiskies with a pair of fine glasses.

It’s a neat little nod to the festive belief that good fortune comes in pairs, though we daresay anyone receiving a bottle of the house’s single malt whiskies (12-, 15-, and 18-Year-Old expressions available) would probably feel plenty fortunate as is.
