In a city that has made an art of the rooftop and the waterfront, dining with a view has become something of a quiet expectation. The backdrop is almost beside the point — until it isn’t, and suddenly the meal feels like an occasion.

These restaurants with a view earn their settings honestly: the food holds up, the service doesn’t coast, and the room gives you something to look at beyond the horizon. Here’s where to book.

  1. 1. Monti
  2. 2. LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar
  3. 3. VUE Bar & Grill
  4. 4. Fico

Monti

For a classic brunch with a view in Singapore, Monti is hard to beat. Perched on the edge of the waterfront at Fullerton Bay, Monti offers uninterrupted views of the Marina Bay skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light and outdoor seating that puts you almost on the water itself.

Brunch, or colapranzo (Italian for breakfast and lunch), leans towards a spread of fresh burratina cheese, risotto topped with fresh truffles, and indulgent desserts such as hazelnut praline mousse and tiramisu.

Towering 57 storeys high above the city at Marina Bay Sands, LAVO offers scenic wraparound views of the Singapore skyline and sea — perfect for taking pictures while waiting for brunch. And brunch here is as gorgeous as the view; think free-flow champagne, caviar with blinis, lobsters, and king crab.

Specials include an avocado croissant with generous shavings of Parmigiano, and a vodka pepperoni pizza straight out of their signature brick oven. LAVO is also throwing a Cinco de Mayo party brunch on May 3, featuring chilled seafood and taco stations, plus free-flow champagne.

If you’re after a more sophisticated brunch with a view in Singapore, VUE Bar & Grill offers a sleek rooftop experience. Located atop OUE Bayfront, it boasts panoramic views of Marina Bay and the surrounding skyline, with both indoor glass-framed vistas and breezy open-air seating.

The menu focuses on refined grill cuisine. Must-tries include binchotan-grilled meats, perfectly seared steaks, and elegant light bites crafted with seasonal ingredients.

Fico

For a different take on brunch with a view in Singapore, Fico swaps skyscrapers for seaside charm. Located along East Coast Park, this cosy Italian restaurant, run by chef-owner Mirko Febbrile, who also heads up Somma at New Bahru, offers breezy, laid-back views of the ocean — perfect for a relaxed weekend brunch away from the city centre.

Come for the delightfully crunchy focaccinas (a focaccia-and-pizza hybrid) topped with bright San Marzano tomatoes and basil, or for the fresh, handmade pasta, such as the ravioli with sage and brown butter.

Fico also does picnic baskets, which you can grab and head over to your favourite spot on the beach to soak in the fresh ocean air.
