Looks like our livers will take a beating this month.

01. Tippling Club's Revamped Menu
Tippling Club's new head bartender, Joe Schofield, has been busy concocting the Sensorium Menu - a programme with drinks that are essentially brewed to smell great. Think getting a noseful of "leather" or "campfire" (smoky or kerosene-laden, we wonder) before the liquid touches your lips - which affects what flavours you get out of the tipple. Sounds like a gamble - but with a co-conspirator like inventive chef Ryan Clift, we expect it to deliver.
Tippling Club; Tanjong Pagar Road, Tel: 6475-2217.
2. Fat Cow Sake Dinner
06 Oct 2016, 7.00pm
The Fat Cow hits five, and they're celebrating with a 5-courser paired with premium sake. Chef Fukashi Adachi will serve up flounder sashimi and wagyu beef two ways, while Mr Hayato Hishinuma, an SSI-certified master sake and shochu advisor. We'd list the full names of the sake labels, but our Japanese is poor, so look it up here.
Fat Cow; Camden Medical Centre #01-01, 1 Orchard Boulevard. Tel: 6735-0308.
3. Wine Discovery Weekend Walkabout Tasting
15 Oct 2016, 11.00 a.m.

4. Art World Forum

If you're into collecting art, then you'll know how tricky markets can be. The inaugural Art World Forum, a full-day conference that's a collection of presentations and panel discussions by leading art experts and investors, is an initiative aimed at demystifying the scene. For a first run, it's secured seasoned speakers from the likes of Petraeus Group and Deloitte, which lend it credence. Ticketing and more information at their website.
Art World Forum; St. Regis Hotel, 29 Tanglin Road.

7. Sake Appreciation Singapore
28 Oct 2016, 6.30pm
The second edition of the one-night-only Sake Appreciation Singapore will be held at Fairmont Singapore this year, bringing with it more than 100 types of sake from 20-odd Japanese breweries. Last year's affair was well-attended but not so well-stocked; happy sake lovers wandered the aisles sampling freely and snapping up multiple bottles for a song, but that only goes to show how stellar the goods were. Don't miss out on this year's expanded list of participants.
Sake Appreciation Singapore; Stamford Ballroom @ Fairmont Singapore. RSVP to Ying Wai Lam (lam@wattention.com).
8. WINE FIESTA
20 TO 23 OCT 2016
This year’s Wine Fiesta, presented by The Straits Wine Company, will be back at Clifford Square (beside The Fullerton Bay Hotel). Savour 350 wines and meet 70 global winemakers at this event, which will celebrate sustainability with the theme “Rising Roots”. Touted as Singapore’s largest annual outdoor wine festival, Wine Fiesta 2016 will focus on natural wines, in particular four unique natural wine producers from the up and coming Basket Range region in Adelaide Hills. You will also get to enjoy food by seven Singapore-based chefs including Rishi Naleendra from Cheek by Jowl, Dave Pynt from Burnt Ends, Michael Lewis from Tin Hill Social, Wanthana Nikonsaen from Tamarind Hill, and Petrina Loh from Morsels.
