Following the pandemic, Singapore hotels have recently undergone extensive upgrades and renovations. Due to the high consumer needs and demand for curated experiences, many hotels have also been exploring ways to adopt such initiatives.

To that end, Capella Singapore, the flagship property of Capella Hotels and Resorts in Sentosa, has refreshed the interiors of their iconic Capella and Colonial Manors through bespoke furnishings, curated artworks, and thoughtfully crafted spaces.

In addition, the standalone bungalows, with a touch reminiscent of a private residence, each Manor has its design aesthetics. It has three ensuite bedrooms, separate living, dining and study spaces, and a private terrace and pool.

As the design and procurement methodology of the Manors have shown, one of the most significant components would be how agility contributes to the Manor’s ambience and memorability in allowing beautiful experiences to be curated.

In addition, the Manor’s neutral palette with subtle patterned wallpapers, fabrics, and tropical foliage mirrors the 30 acres of lush landscaped grounds, casting soft, leafy shadows across the space. At the same time, a custom rug in earthy tones of olive, off-white and rich brown that allows for a free-flowing linear pattern evokes a sense of travel and topography.

“This redesign showcases Capella’s commitment to creating spaces that not only celebrate our heritage but also provide a warm and welcoming environment,” said Mr Yngvar Stray, General Manager of Capella Singapore. “By incorporating personal touches and timeless furnishings, we invite guests to immerse themselves in a tranquil retreat that feels uniquely theirs.”

Stray added that guests can discover the vibrancy of Singapore’s history and culture through experiential activities, such as heritage tours and savouring local gastronomic delights.

He also shared that Manor Culturists will be on hand to introduce and delight Manor guests by introducing them to the sights, sounds, tastes, and culture of the Singapore locale.

Curated experiences in tranquillity

The strong emphasis on curated experiences in tranquillity follows efforts over the past few years to implement a wide range of initiatives to meet the evolving needs of hotel guests.

For instance, families choosing to make the Manor their home while in Singapore can look forward to a thoughtfully curated stay enriched by the Manor Culturist, who is on hand to craft personalised and meaningful experiences such as a poolside picnic to dedicated babysitting services and a dim sum masterclass led by the culinary team.

In addition, a range of Wellness rituals by Capella, such as yoga by the pool, the spa’s signature moon-phase treatments, and a menu of music and art therapy workshops, enables the Manors’ offerings to be elevated.

Moving forward, Capella Singapore aims to provide a warm and welcoming environment where guests can seamlessly transition their lifestyle from home to the Manors and offer shared experiences that inspire and create cherished memories that will last well beyond their stay with the hotel.
