The 98th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood once again proved that the Oscars are as much a luxury style showcase as they are a celebration of cinema. Designers, jewellers, and watchmakers all compete for one of the most powerful stages in the world: the red carpet.

The Oscars 2026 ceremony, along with multiple after-parties, saw a striking mix of couture gowns, classic tuxedos, archival jewellery, and independent watchmaking.

From Timothee Chalamet’s custom-made Givenchy suit and artisanal Urban Jurgensen watch to Anne Hathaway’s diamond-laden Bvlgari necklace, the night delivered memorable celebrity style moments. Below, we break down the look of your favourite celebrities at Oscars 2026.

Timothee Chalamet

Few actors command red-carpet attention like Timothee Chalamet, the 30-year-old star nominated for Best Actor for Marty Supreme — his third nomination at the Academy Awards.

For the Oscars 2026 ceremony, Chalamet wore a custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton monochromatic tuxedo in off-white wool, paired with a white silk tie and pleated trousers. The look, styled with Gent boots, leaned into his signature fashion-forward approach.

On his wrist was a major independent horological statement: the Urban Jurgensen UJ-2 in platinum, priced around CHF105,000 ($171,000). The watch features a hand-turned guilloche dial and a rare double wheel natural escapement, and requires about 565 hours of handwork to complete.

Hollywood heavyweight Leonardo DiCaprio attended the ceremony as a Best Actor nominee for One Battle After Another.

The Oscar winner, whose celebrity style is typically understated, chose timeless formalwear in the form of a Dior black wool and silk shawl-lapel tuxedo. The suit was matched with a crisp white shirt, silk bow tie, and black patent leather derbies.

Instead of a watch, DiCaprio added flair with a piece of jewellery history: a 1964 Boucheron Bee brooch from the maison’s private collection. Crafted in yellow gold, yellow enamel, garnet, and diamonds, it reflects founder Frederic Boucheron’s fascination with nature and insects as aesthetic motifs.

Anne Hathaway

Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway returned to the Oscars red carpet for the first time in over a decade, appearing as a presenter during the ceremony.

She wore a dramatic Valentino couture gown, styled with opera gloves — a look that also playfully referenced The Devil Wears Prada, the cult film that helped cement her fashion icon status.

The true showstopper, however, was her jewellery. Hathaway wore the Bvlgari Neoclassical Starlight High Jewellery necklace, centred on an 8.02-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow pear-cut diamond surrounded by more than 35 carats of diamonds. The necklace alone required over 850 hours of craftsmanship to complete.

In addition, she paired it with Bvlgari’s transformable Daphne’s Laurel earrings set with yellow and white diamonds, as well as two platinum high jewellery rings also featuring yellow and white diamonds.

An true-blue A-lister in celebrity style, actress Demi Moore delivered a sleek high jewellery moment on the red carpet.

Her eye-catching black Schiaparelli gown with a white feathered train was anchored by Boucheron’s Vendome Lisere collection. The pieces included earrings set with emerald-cut blue tourmalines and pave diamonds, a ring featuring a 4.13-carat emerald-cut diamond, and a diamond-pave bracelet with emerald-cut stones.

A presenter at the Oscars 2026 show, she completed the ensemble with the Ruban Diamants transformable piece from Boucheron’s Histoire de Style Art Deco High Jewellery collection, worn in bracelet form — a modern reinterpretation of the ribbon motif that defined many Art Deco jewels.

One of the night’s award presenters, he wore a Dior black velvet tuxedo with silk lapels, styled with a white cotton shirt and patent leather shoes — a combination that echoed the understated elegance often associated with the brand.

Pattinson adorned his buttoned shirt collar with the detachable platinum, onyx, and diamond brooch from a Cartier High Jewellery necklace, and also donned a pair of Santos de Cartier cufflinks in sterling silver, palladium finish, and black lacquer.

The ethereal Elle Fanning attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Supporting Actress for Sentimental Value.

Her look was deeply personal: a custom Givenchy gown by Sarah Burton, designed to reference memories from her childhood. The dress featured a corseted bustier silhouette crafted from tulle, adorned with delicate satin-stitched wisteria embroidery.

Elevating the dreaminess are a 1903 Cartier Collection transformable platinum necklace with round old-cut diamonds, a Cartier Diamond Collection white gold and diamond bracelet, and an Etincelle de Cartier white gold and diamond ring.

On his wrist was a particularly elegant timepiece: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds “Or Deco.” The watch features a pink-gold case and Milanese bracelet, with a grained dial matching the tone of the precious metal — a modern interpretation of the Reverso’s iconic Art Deco design.

True to her signature style, Wintour finished the look with her trademark oversized sunglasses and a 19th-century Oscar Massin diamond necklace, reinforcing her reputation for blending couture fashion with archival jewellery pieces.
