There are rare Rolex watches, and then there are Rolex watches of which only one exists.

On Sep 28, 2026, four unique and vibrant Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona watches will go under the hammer in London. Created around the four seasons, the extraordinarily colourful, gem-set watches bring together Rolex with two of its best-known Testimonees: Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer and Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

All proceeds from this upcoming auction will benefit two organisations closely associated with the pair: the Federer Foundation, founded by Federer, and Re:wild, launched by a team of conservation scientists together with DiCaprio.

Phillips, in association with Bacs & Russo, will conduct the sale, which it describes as Rolex’s first-ever charity auction. Each Daytona will be auctioned separately.

Four Rolex Daytonas for four seasons

For this philanthropic initiative, Rolex has interpreted the spirit of each season through precious metals, natural stones and coloured gemstones.

Spring comes in 18ct white gold with a chrysoprase dial and lepidolite counters. Purple sapphires form the hour markers and line the bezel, while 54 brilliant-cut diamonds decorate the lugs and crown guard. Summer switches to 18ct Everose gold, contrasting a turquoise dial with heart-of-ruby counters and pink sapphires.

For Autumn, an 18ct yellow gold case surrounds a bright-yellow mookaite dial with chrysoprase counters, while green tourmalines appear around the bezel and as hour markers.

Winter is arguably the coolest of the quartet in more ways than one: Its 950 platinum case houses a blue opal dial with lapis lazuli counters, while the bezel graduates from blue to fuchsia sapphires. Diamond hour markers complete the icy treatment.

All four are powered by Rolex’s self-winding Calibre 4131, with approximately 72 hours of power reserve, and carry the watchmaker’s Superlative Chronometer certification.

In partnership with Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio

Founded by Federer in 2003, the Federer Foundation concentrates on early and foundational education. Its work focuses particularly on children in Southern Africa, alongside programmes in Switzerland. Rolex describes the organisation’s mission as giving children the opportunity to “learn, play and thrive”.

Re:wild, meanwhile, works on protecting and restoring the natural world. It was launched by conservation scientists together with DiCaprio, and collaborates with Indigenous Peoples, local communities and conservation organisations on the ground. Its activities encompass protecting ecosystems and biodiversity around the world.

That makes the pairing more coherent than it might initially appear. One organisation invests in future generations, while the other works to protect the natural world those generations will inherit. That is also consistent with Rolex’s Perpetual Planet Initiative, which supports projects spanning exploration, environmental conservation, ocean protection and wilderness preservation.
