SHH

Originally founded in 2005 as Sincere Haute Horlogerie, the boutique was officially renamed SHH in September 2022, following Cortina Holdings’ acquisition of Sincere Fine Watches the previous year. The relaunch coincided with the opening of its flagship concept boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, reaffirming SHH’s focus on independent haute horlogerie.

SHH’s portfolio spans more than 19 independent watchmakers from around the world. As the sole distributor in Singapore for Greubel Forsey, Kudoke, Lang & Heyne, Laurent Ferrier, Lederer and Arnold & Son, it has established itself as one of the country’s leading destinations for independent maisons.

Designed to encourage collectors to spend time with the watches rather than simply admire them through display cases, SHH boasts a swanky, gallery-like retail experience. A private lounge, complete with its own wine bar, provides a relaxed setting for longer conversations, intimate gatherings and hands-on appreciation, while the boutique regularly collaborates with independent watchmakers to create highly exclusive limited editions available only through SHH.

Sincere Fine Watches
#02-12A/B/C/D Takashimaya S.C.

Operating alongside SHH in Singapore is the main brand of Sincere Fine Watches, which reopened its newly renovated flagship boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre in March 2026. While SHH remains dedicated to independent haute horlogerie, this flagship offers a broader portfolio of established watch brands, allowing the two boutiques to complement one another.

The experience here extends beyond traditional watch retail to offer watch lovers and collectors an intimate and private setting within elegant gold and black interiors. Apart from a stylish sitting area at the centre of the shop space, there is also a discreet private lounge tucked away at the back, far from the shopping crowd.

In November 2025, Sincere opened Singapore’s first Jacob & Co. mono-brand boutique adjacent to its Takashimaya flagship, introducing the New York house’s fine and high jewellery collections to Singapore for the first time.

Cortina Watch

Founded by Anthony Lim in 1972, Cortina Watch began as a single-store family business at Colombo Court. Today, it has grown to become one of Asia-Pacific’s leading luxury watch retailers, with nearly 50 boutiques across the region. In Singapore, it operates three multi-brand boutiques, while parent company Cortina Holdings also oversees Sincere Fine Watches and a portfolio of mono-brand boutiques.

Alongside many of Switzerland’s leading watchmakers, Cortina has also established a strong foothold in independent haute horlogerie through exclusive partnerships with Bovet, H. Moser & Cie, Parmigiani Fleurier and Franck Muller. The retailer also works closely with its partner brands on regional limited editions, such as the hugely successful Southeast Asia-exclusive #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition, reinforcing its reputation among collectors seeking pieces that cannot be found elsewhere.

The Hour Glass

Founded in 1979 by Henry Tay and Jannie Tay, The Hour Glass opened its first boutique at Lucky Plaza in partnership with Metro Holdings. From the outset, the couple’s vision extended beyond selling luxury watches as they sought to cultivate an appreciation for watchmaking as an art form.

Nearly five decades later, the company boasts more than 70 boutiques across Asia-Pacific. Today, it is led by second-generation group managing director Michael Tay, who continues to steer the company through an evolving luxury landscape.

Its newest boutique, located at Tang Plaza, opened in 2025. Bringing together an impressive mix of maisons under one roof, it features brands such as Cartier, Bvlgari, Piaget and Tudor, offering collectors a broad cross-section of contemporary luxury watchmaking.

The Hour Glass also operates multi-brand boutiques at Raffles Arcade and Ngee Ann City, while its boutique at The Paragon showcases many of the independent watchmakers that have become synonymous with the retailer. Related to this business segment is indie-focused watch fair IAMWATCH, a large-scale public programme organised by The Hour Glass, which is set to return for its second edition this November.

A long-time champion of independent watchmaking, The Hour Glass is the exclusive retailer of some of the most influential names in modern watchmaking, including MB&F, F.P.Journe, Girard-Perregaux, Hublot, Ulysse Nardin, Urwerk, De Bethune, Daniel Roth, Gerald Genta, Akrivia, Kari Voutilainen, Trilobe and Ressence.

That commitment is perhaps best illustrated by its long-standing partnership with MB&F. As the brand’s exclusive retail partner in Southeast Asia, The Hour Glass collaborated with the maison to open the world’s first MB&F Lab at Raffles Arcade in 2022. Capsule by Watches of Switzerland

Established in Singapore in 1964, Watches of Switzerland became a familiar name among local collectors under the Jay Gee Melwani Group before it was acquired by The Hour Glass in 2014.

Described by both companies as a friendly transition between like-minded operators, the move allowed Watches of Switzerland to retain its own identity while strengthening The Hour Glass’ presence beyond Orchard Road. Today, its boutiques at VivoCity, Paragon, Centrepoint, Tampines Mall and City Square Mall bring fine watchmaking closer to collectors across Singapore.

Its latest concept, Capsule by Watches of Switzerland, was launched in Jewel Changi’s main concourse in 2023. The contemporary multi-brand boutique brings together independent and design-led watchmakers across a range of accessible price points, appealing to seasoned collectors and those just beginning their horological journey.

While each Watches of Switzerland boutique carries a slightly different portfolio, Capsule boasts names such as Behrens, Nomos Glashutte, Junghans, Louis Erard, DOXA and Sinn. Spanning everything from Bauhaus-inspired minimalism and German engineering to inventive complications and purpose-built tool watches, the timepieces offer collectors an alternative to the industry’s more familiar luxury names.

Emperor Watch and Jewellery
#01/01-03 The Shopping Gallery at Voco Orchard

Trace Emperor Watch and Jewellery back far enough and you land in 1942 Hong Kong, where founder Yeung Shing opened a modest boutique importing Swiss timepieces, Shing On Kee Watch Shop. More than 80 years and three generations of the Yeung family later, that shop has grown into one of Asia’s most established luxury watch and jewellery groups, with boutiques spanning Hong Kong, Macau, China, Malaysia and Singapore.

Located at The Shopping Gallery within Voco Orchard Singapore (formerly Mandarin Orchard Hotel), the boutique offers a glimpse into what sets Emperor apart. Alongside Swiss watchmakers such as Tudor and Breitling, it also showcases Emperor Jewellery, the group’s own fine jewellery brand. Since the 1960s, Emperor has designed and manufactured its own jewellery, allowing clients to explore exceptional timepieces and contemporary jewellery under one roof.

One of the boutique’s biggest draws is Gerald Charles, for which Emperor is Singapore’s exclusive authorised retailer. Founded in 2000 by the legendary Gerald Charles Genta, the creative force behind some of the horological world’s most influential luxury sports watches, the independent Swiss manufacture has earned a devoted following for its distinctive Baroque-inspired case architecture, refined hand-finishing and technical innovation.

Red Army Watches

Long before independent mechanical watchmaking became one of the industry’s hottest segments, Red Army Watches (RAW) was already championing smaller, more unconventional players. Founded in 2004 by Sugiharto Kusumadi, the Singapore retailer has spent more than two decades introducing collectors to brands that sit well outside the traditional Swiss luxury establishment, earning a loyal following among enthusiasts who value originality as much as pedigree.

Today, RAW has two boutiques at ION Orchard and Suntec City, as well as a global e-commerce platform serving collectors worldwide. Over the years, it has established itself as one of the region’s leading retailers and distributors of independent watch brands, with a portfolio of more than 30 international names spanning independent watchmakers, heritage manufacturers and contemporary design-led companies.

Among them are SevenFriday and CIGA Design, for which RAW serves as an authorised retailer and regional distributor, alongside Chinese watchmakers Lucky Harvey and Shanghai Watch, as well as Singapore’s own independent brands, Zelos and BOLDR. Kusumadi’s passion for independent watchmaking extends beyond retail. In 2023, he co-founded Horizon Watches with Ukrainian designer Fred Bekher, pairing Bekher’s architectural approach to design with Kusumadi’s deep understanding of collectors’ tastes. Gnomon Watches

The story of Gnomon Watches is one of Singapore’s earliest watch retail success stories in e-commerce. When Anders Tan and a group of fellow enthusiasts launched the business in early 2002, buying a mechanical watch online was still far from the norm. While most collectors relied on traditional brick-and-mortar retailers, Gnomon built its reputation by connecting enthusiasts with carefully curated mechanical watch brands from around the world through its online platform.

As its following grew, Gnomon expanded into physical retail, first opening a boutique at Shaw Towers before relocating to its current flagship at Millenia Walk in the early 2010s. Today, the boutique is complemented by a professional in-house service centre, with its global e-commerce platform continuing to serve collectors around the world.

While many retailers focus on building a large catalogue, Gnomon focuses on a carefully curated selection of brands chosen for their craftsmanship, character and enduring appeal, allowing collectors to discover timepieces that stand apart from the mainstream.

Watches Of Japan

For many family businesses, the next generation brings a fresh perspective. For Watches of Japan founder Lui Yong Jia, that meant introducing Singaporean enthusiasts to the distinctive world of Japanese domestic market (JDM) timepieces. While his father, Vincent Lui, built Vincent Watch into one of Singapore’s best-known watch retailers, he saw an opportunity to create a business centred on Japan’s vibrant horological culture.



The youngest of three children, Yong Jia grew up immersed in the family business before developing a love for JDM watches and cars. That passion led to the launch of Watches of Japan in 2016, a specialist retailer dedicated to Japanese timepieces.

Operating from a single boutique at Bedok Mall and supported by a strong online presence through Shopee and Lazada, it offers brands such as Casio, Seiko, Citizen and Orient, with plans to introduce emerging Japanese watchmakers that remain relatively undiscovered in Singapore.
